As usual, your feedback is most welcome. Please save your comments to this blog post.
Significant usability improvements have been applied to the MakeWords.com dictionary domains search. Now you can simply perform a keyword lookup and then click through related words, prefixes and suffixes to get a result set with available domains.
Even with the updated user interface, dictionary search is still the most advanced feature at Makewords. Therefore we created a short orientation video at Youtube that should help you get the most out of the new search capabilities. Recommend that you watch this in full screen and HQ. Good luck with your domains search!
Makewords.com domain name generator now features creating and searching for United Kingdom’s .co.uk domains. This is still experimental and may cause timeouts with some search types. Please be patient, we are working on it.
The newly added Bulk Domain Search feature at www.makewords.com opens up new capabilities for finding targeted keyword domains. Up to 100 names or phrases on separate lines can be checked with one query.
Bulk Search is particularily useful, when you need to check the availability of long keyword lists. Consider the following technique.
Use the Google Keyword Suggestion tool to get keyword ideas related to your website. Lets try “web marketing” as an example. Sort the results by Global Monthly Search Volume. If there is a lot of competition with the more popular phrases, it is better to focus on the long-tail keywords which are searched more rarely but provide a suitable niche.
Export the phrases to a txt file, select up to 100 rows and paste them to the Bulk Search Page at MakeWords. You can then run the search immediately – MakeWords will remove the spaces or replace them with hyphens, based on your search options.
Save the available names to Favorites or register them via My Registrar links.
There are numerous alternatives for creating keyword lists, each may provide numerous unregistered domain names in valuable niches. At the time of writing this post, the following domain names were all available:
A recent feature update at Makewords allows users to quickly check single domain name availability. Look for the “Fast Search” textbox in the top right corner of the website.
Simply type in some characters and press Enter – the domain availability is returned instantly:
You can then register the domain immediately via the direct link to your preferred registrar, Save it to your favorites for later consideration, or perform a more detailed analysis of the domain history and whois data.
